Via Medica International Healthcare Training Center is authorized by the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi to provide a multitude

of training programs, as per our aliation and approval by the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI).

 

VMIH Training Center can provide basic training and certicates for healthcare professionals, always complying to HAAD

regulations.

 

In addition to providing high quality training to medical professionals, we also provide classes tailored for various industries

such as Oil & Gas, Schools & Universities, and Corporate Oces.

TRAINING COURSES

BASIC FIRST AID

The Basic First Aid course was created to help students develop basic first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond.

 

The program is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting, and conforms to the 2015 AHA and ARC Guidelines Update for First Aid.

 

Intended Audience

Individuals who are not healthcare providers or professional rescuers but

desire or are required to be certified in basic emergency medical care.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)

This expert-level program helps keep healthcare professionals prepared and ready to respond as they encounter life-threatening emergencies, provide basic life support, and respond to choking and other airway obstruction incidents. Basic Life Support, BLS for Healthcare Providers and Professional Rescuers has been approved for training for Emergency

 

Medical Services personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).

The program is also CAPCE approved and widely accepted in more than 150 healthcare-related occupations.

 

Intended Audience

This program is designed for individuals in the health- care or professional rescuer field that are required to have professional-level basic life support training.

ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT (ACLS)

This program was created to train emergency personnel to recognize cardiopulmonary emergencies  (including cardiac arrest and peri-arrest conditions) and other medical conditions that require rapid initial emergency care. Program covers the initial actions of an emergency response team, evaluating airway management, dysrhythmia recognition, electrical interventions, and pharmacologic interventions.

 

Intended Audience

Emergency personnel in intensive care or critical care departments and emergency medical providers.

EMERGENCY OXYGEN ADMINISTRATION

Serious and Life-threatning medical emergencies often cause oxygen to be depleted in the body leaving the victim at risk for shock.

 

The Emergency Oxygen program focuses on administering emergency oxygen to breathing and non breathing persons, emergency oxygen delivery system, and integrating pulse oximetry.

 

Intended Audience

Individuals who desire or are required to be trained in the administration of emergency oxygen.

PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT (PALS)

PALS is intended for emergency personnel in intensive care or critical care departments and emergency medical providers.

 

The overall goal of the PALS course is to provide healthcare professionals with didactic and psychomotor skills training in the recognition and treatment of conditions that may lead to cardiopulmonary arrest in an infant or child.

 

PALS incorporates both pre-hospital and hospital management of pediatric emergencies and reflects the 2015 guidelines for CPR and emergency cardiovascular care.

 

Intended Audience

This program is for Emergency personnel in intensive care or critical care

departments and emergency medical providers.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (EMT)

EMT is the first level for entry into pre-hospital care, using a sophisticated ambulance and its equipment, in saving lives. EMT’s are trained in bleeding control, positive pressure ventilation with a bag valve mask, oropharyngeal airway, nasopharyngeal airway, supplemental oxygen administration, taking vital signs, pulse oximetry, glucometry, oral suctioning, eye irrigation, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), splinting (including full spinal immobilization), traction splinting, deliver in a normal childbirth, assist with a complicated birth, and medication administration (such as epinephrine auto-injectors, oral glucose gel, aspirin, nitroglycerin, and albuterol).

 

Some areas may add to the scope of practice for EMT's, including intranasal nalaxone administration, use of mechanical CPR devices, insertion of additional airway devices, and CPAP.

 

Training requirements and treatment protocols vary from area to area.
